Prerequisites: ( HIST 05306 or AMST 13201 ) and HIST 05150 This course examines the political, economic, social, and cultural factors that led to the onset of the American Revolution, the outbreak of the Revolutionary War, and the creation of the United States of America. This will include study of the adoption of the Constitution, popular challenges to federal power, and the character of American society and politics during the Early Republic. This course may not be offered annually.
