This is a required field experience for those seeking to become certified as a teacher of health education in New Jersey. Taken in the fall or spring of the senior year, in conjunction with a classroom management seminar, it entails a full semester of supervised full-time teaching in a public school when the student has completed all other course requirements. This advanced experience provides students with opportunities for practice in various phases of health education practice. Completion of application for internship one semester prior to taking the course. Prerequisite: All major and professional sequence courses. Corequisite: EDU 450 Seminar in Classroom Management.
