This intermediate course focuses on the importance of information security (INFOSEC) and the impact technology has in the field of professional security. Specific areas of coverage include: Operational Security (OPSEC), policy, roles and responsibility, cryptology, transmission security, and components of the National Training Standard for Information Systems Security - (NTSISS). Components include: national policy, threats, countermeasures, and risk management among others. This is the second of three courses students can take towards National Security Agency (NSA) certification for information systems security (INFOSEC), NST 4011 standard (SECU 322 and SECU 422 are also required to receive a NSA certificate).
