We will explore the physiological mechanisms used by vertebrates to function in diverse environments. Evolution provides a unifying concept for the course, which takes a comparative approach, searching for connections and contrasts among extant and extinct groups of organisms. Special emphasis will be paid to exploring methods by which vertebrates solve problems concerned with movement, food, energy, temperature, gas exchange and water balance. 0.000 TO 4.000 Credit Hours 0.000 TO 4.000 Lecture hours Levels: Undergraduate Schedule Types: Lecture Theoretical & Applied Science College Biology Department
