This course explores the fundamentals graphic design. Students learn conceptual and analytical skills by learning to solve visual design problems. The topic of design is also explored from an historical and cultural perspective. Additional topics include the grammar and vocabulary of graphic design, typography, perception theory, design theory, symbols, grid systems, comping skills, layout, production, color theory, and traditional tools.
