BIOL 1105. Chem 2110 taken concurrently is recommended. The first half of a one-year sequence in general biology, intended for biology majors and for students in other life-science disciplines. The biology of organisms. A phylogenetic survey of the taxonomic kingdoms, ideas about the origin of life, the theory of evolution, and the evidence that supports it.
