ARTV 1162 and 1169. Arts course (A). This course is an introduction to various traditional and modern sculptural techniques (i.e. welding, stone and wood carving and fabrication, figure modeling, plaster casting, with an emphasis on scale and proportion). Students will be encouraged to develop personal and communicative forms while learning how to deal with sculptural materials and processes. A beginning awareness of the history of sculpture will also be developed. Faculty: J.
