CHEM 2025, 2010. This course is the second course of a two semester sequence which will provide the needed chemistry foundation for students in the nursing program. Discussions will continue in organic chemistry exploring topics such as important functional groups in organic chemistry and their functionality in drugs. In addition, topics in biochemistry will also be considered including chemical messengers, enzymes, energy and vitamins. Metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and amino acids will also be discussed.
