MARS 2202 and CHEM 2110. CHEM 2120 or CHEM 2140 recommended, but not required. A laboratory course involving analysis of seawater from different environments, e.g. closed seawater systems, ambient seawater, or sediment pore water. Emphasis is on analyzing nutrients, some major seawater ions, and several other constituents of interest. Data analysis and interpretation is included, and there may be limited field work involved.
