This core course will be an introduction to the discipline and methods of Criminal Justice as an academic field, as well as an overview of the criminal justice system and the issues it confronts. It will look at the ways in which criminal justice as a field has enhanced our understanding of the criminal justice system. It will focus on research strategies that have led to the knowledge we have, and on fertile areas for further study. In addition, the course will include an examination of ethical dilemmas that confront the criminal justice system. Faculty: L.
