This is a course designed to improve students written and oral Spanish skills through a series of discussions of contemporary Spanish film and literature. While introducing the student to the social and historical context in which selected films and literary works were made, the course will emphasize the following themes: Spanish Civil War, censorship, regional politics and immigration.
