An in-depth study of some of the novels, short-stories, dramas, and poetry by 19th and 20th centuries Spanish writers, such as Perez-Galdos, Unamuno, Valle-Inclan, Pio Baroja, Garcia-Lorca, Machado, Jimenez, et al. Readings, discussions, and written critical evaluations will be in Spanish. Therefore, a good command of the language is expected of all the students planning to take this course. Faculty: G.
