PUBH/ENVL 2530, PUBH 3323 and permission of instructor required. Field experience for those without prior public health experience is required in the senior year. One credit is awarded for each 50 contact clock hours. Field experience is with a faculty-approved environmental health program or organization. Students will work with health professionals/specialists and will apply in the work setting what they have learned in the classroom. Students will receive an evaluation by their sponsors, maintain a daily log of contact hours and activities, and write a 5-7 page reaction paper comparing academic learning with their internship experience. Additional assignments may be required by individual instructors. Faculty: B.
