This senior capstone course allows students to conduct indepth research and writing on Asia. Seminar topics vary according to the discipline of the Asian Studies faculty member teaching the particular seminar. Students are required to read scholarly literature in the particular field covered in the seminar and to use their knowledge of Asia acquired in this course and in core and elective courses in order to produce a senior seminar paper. Students are required to present their research paper in class. Students are encouraged to present their findings in public venues, such as Asian Studies student-faculty colloquia or Asian Studies conferences. (Capstone for Asian Studies Major) ( Cross-listed with other 400-level courses approved for Asian studies major) Prerequisites: ASN 201 and either ASN 270 or 280
