Offered at the N.J. Marine Sciences Consortium field stations. Detailed consideration of the functional morphology and evolution of marine algae and fungi. Analysis of physiological and ecological adaptations of red algae and marine fungi. Laboratory and field work designed to encourage individual investigations. Prerequisites: Eight hours of biology including BIO 2500 or permission of instructor. BIO 2650 or BIO 3000 recommended.
