Major theories and principles of education for clients and healthcare professionals are ex-plored within this course. Principles of teach-ing/learning along with interventions and strategies for health education are identified and practiced. Formation of a teaching phi-losophy is developed by incorporating values, self-analysis, and professional growth. Regis-tered professional nurse students develop health presentations for selected populations using educational technology. Creation of a teaching portfolio is explored. Understanding culture and lifespan issues in relationship to health promotion, education, and mainten-ance are also explored.
