This course will assist the student in develop-ing into the role of the professional nurse, as it applies to nursing care of the adult/geriatric client with acute and/or chronic illness. Prin-ciples of teaching/learning, health promotion, disease prevention, patient safety, economic, social and cultural beliefs are integrated in the development of evidence based practice plans of care. The nursing process is utilized in car-ing for the adult client in a variety of settings to ensure safe, comprehensive and collabora-tive nursing care. Prerequisites: NURS 250, NURS 260, NURS 350, BIO 307 Corequisites: NURS 320, NURS 450
