Topicsstudied are poverty, inequality, unemployment, population growth,illiteracy, urbanization, environmental degradation, health, andinternational relations with the developed world. Real worlddevelopment experience and possible policy options in dealing withthese problems are part of the course, along with relevant classiceconomic models of development.
