Although emphasis is placed on the rapid developmentof the discipline from the industrial revolution through the end of thetwentieth-century, a broader historical analysis is necessary to providea strong foundational context in trends and trendsetters, innovationsand innovators. Course requirements include an intensive series ofreading and writing assignments.
