This course surveys global diversity by examining culturaldifferences and similarities in a variety of societies across the world.Through systematic cross-cultural comparisons of specific dimensionsof society (e.g. family structure, gender roles) students will gain anunderstanding of the role culture plays in shaping human thought,behavior and social organization.
