Prerequisites: Senior standing in Web Development and consent of instructorThis course is designed to prepare students for the transition fromacademia to the real world, and to allow them to "sample thewater" of their chosen profession. Prior to starting their internship,students are guided through the experience of preparing a resume,conducting a job search for an appropriate position, and applyingfor a position. Students select from a wide variety of positionsoffered at local businesses, computer companies, consulting firms,non-profit organizations, and government agencies. During thesemester students perform meaningful tasks, usually withoutfinancial remuneration for their company, either individually or apart of a team. Students receive feedback and guidance from theiremployers, their RWU Career Services advisor, and their facultysponsor.
