Prerequisite: ESLL 30 with a grade of "C" or better, or placementthrough assessment. Advisory: Concurrent enrollment in an ESL Reading and Writing course at the student's assessed level. Hours: 72 hours LEC This is a course that develops the listening and speaking skills needed to succeed in college courses. Activities will focus on developing phrases and sentences to communicate ideas in familiar situations. The course includes group and individual listening and speaking activities, an overview of American English sounds, and practice in stress, rhythm, and intonation. May be taken twice for credit.
