Description:

This is the second part of Elementary Spanish, and it is assumed that the student has either one semester or little more than one year of high school Spanish. This course focuses on getting students to communicate from day one. Students are expected to prepare grammatical material on their own in the Workbook and Study Guide and bring questions and be ready to work with the material in class. Class time is then reserved largely for the use and practice of new material, as well as trouble shooting. Students are required to complete a final class portfolio which will include a mid-term and final, at least 5 journal (writing) assignments, and two class participation evaluations. This course is not open to Native or Heritage speakers of Spanish. Hours of class per week: 3. General Education: F.
