3 Credits Business,Professional Studies Networking Students build upon their understanding of router configurations, LAN switching, network management, and network design. Basic network administration and Wide Area Networking (WAN) infrastructure are developed and discussed. Students study scaling networks using Network Address Translation (NAT) and Port Address Translation (PAT), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Point-to-Point protocol (PPP) and authentication, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) concepts and configuration, and frame relay concepts and configuration. 3 hrs. lect.; 2 hrs. lab. Course fee. Prerequisite: NET 103 with a grade of C or better.
