Introduction to the use of computational chemistry and molecular modeling as tools for the solution of real-world research problems in chemistry and biochemistry. Students must have a fundamental understanding of the structural organic chemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, elementary biochemistry and the general principles of quantum chemistry. (3 hr. lec.) Prerequisites: CHEM 3182, CHEM 3382 or permission of instructor.
