2 Credit Prerequisite: EST 1003 or Permission This class is designed for the strong Novice II rider that is not yet ready to progress towards a specific discipline. Students will refine position and control on the flat and over fences, and begin riding small courses. Emphasis will be on maintaining control and pace by using aids in combination. Simple changes of lead will be refined. Students will gain an understanding of the horse's stride and an awareness of the number of strides between fences in a line (W/T/C/basic courses to 2')
