Artificial intelligence, expert systems and decision-making techniques and their implementation as decision support systems in clinical and HIS settings. Examination of quantitative and symbolic approaches to medical decision making including application of statistical methods (discriminant and Bayesian statistics), decision analysis and utility theory.
