3 credits (Formerly COM-334) Provides a laboratory study of audio production techniques, writing, and performance. Introduces the fundamental properties of sound as applied in modern audio production at radio and television stations, sound studios, and production houses. Students conduct lab exercises in editing, mixing, and digital recording. Students write, produce, and perform a variety of programs including news, interviews, commercials, dramas, and documentaries.
