Prerequisite: ITL 211 or permission of instructor This course introduces students to the history and culture of the Italian peninsula from the prehistoric period to the present day. Through readings from designated texts, movie viewings, and presentations of cultural products, students will become familiar with and understand major periods of Italian history and culture. In addition, students will learn about the present day economic and social structure of Italy.
