1 semester, 3 credits Aging is accompanied by psychological, cognitive/neuropsychological, biological/physical, social, and family changes.This course surveys age-associated changes from a psychological perspective, scientific methods for study aging, interventions to enhance healthy or normal aging, and pathological changes associated with older age, such as dementia, chronic illness and disability, and mental health issues. Prerequisite: PSY 100 or permission of the instructor.
