2 units; 2 hours Lecture Prerequisite: Completion of 12 core units (ECE 31 or 131; 32 or 142; 51 and 53) for licensing or permit requirement and one year teaching experience. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Explores methods and principles of supporting and supervising adults in early childhood settings, emphasizing the role of experienced teachers mentoring new teachers. Required for entry into the Mentor Teacher program. Meets the Adult Supervision course requirement for the California Child Development Permit.
