Design principles and criteria related to highways and railroads resulting from requirements of safety, vehicle performance, driver behavior, topography, traffic, design speed, and levels of service. Elements of the horizontal and vertical alignments and facility cross-section, and their coordination in the design. Computer-aided design procedures including COGO, CADAM, Digital Terrain Modeling. Same as Tran 552.
