An investigation of geologic hazards such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, flooding and beach erosion. Consideration given to hazards resulting form normal geologic activity as well as those caused by human interaction with the environment. Intended for nonmajors. May be taken without GEOL 1202. Students cannot receive credit for both GEOL 1200 and GEOL 1201/1202.
