2 semesters, 4 credits each A study of the compounds of carbon utilizing a problemoriented approach both in lecture and laboratory that emphasizes the use of spectroscopic methods. For biology majors. (Lectures 3 hours, laboratory 4 hours.) Not open to students with credit in CHM221-222. Prerequisites: CHM 102 or CHM 122 is a prerequisite for CHM 201. CHM 201 or CHM 221 is a prerequisite for CHM 202.
