Three hours lecture per week. UC/CSU, AA GE, CSU GE, IGETC Advisory: Eligibility for ENGL 100 C. This course is a survey of African history from the earliest beginnings to contemporary times. A special emphasis is placed on the various cultures of Africa, demography and general chronology of the rise and fall of nation states, and the impact of Western culture through the colonial, neo-colonial, and contemporary periods.
