The course presents students with a description of the various units that comprise a personal computer and how these units function individually and with each other. The basics of using Microsoft Windows are covered. The course provides hands-on experience and projects designed to improve competence in the use of Windows, word processing, and spreadsheet applications. Students may not receive credit for both IS 101 and CSCI 101.
