Prerequisites: ART 02222 This introductory studio course is designed to teach students to use glass as an expressive art medium. It includes studio work to develop skills and knowledge, as well as discussions and lectures to develop an understanding of both historical and contemporary approaches to the medium. Students explore both sculptural and utilitarian forms in glass. Techniques covered include slumping, fusing, kiln casting, lampworking and patte-de-verre.
