Prereq: WS 100 OR 200 & NOT 250. An introduction to feminist theory. Examines feminist theoretical concepts in Europe and the U.S. from their inception in early 20th century through the present. Includes discussions of women and the vote, sexuality, identity politics, and girl culture. Texts are theoretical, historical, and literary. Film and video clips may be used to enhance course lectures. May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
