Prereq: C OR BETTER IN E E 211. (fall, winter) Introduction to continuous and discrete time signals and systems. Topics include signal models and system classification. Representations for continuous- and discrete-time systems. Impulse response and convolution for continuous-time signals. Unit pulseresponse and convolution for discrete-time systems. Laplace transform for continuous-time signals and systems. Transfer function analysis of continuous-time systems. State-space analysis of continuous-time linear systems. Students will use MATLAB extensively throughout the course.
