To identify the purposes, history, and application of key social and rhetorical theories of communication through reading and discussing classic works of communication theory. To understand issues of epistemology, ontology, and axiology when discussing the goals and methods related to relevant theories. May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
