Prereq: C- OR BETTER BIOS 325 & (JR OR SR). Class is intended for upper-level undergraduates and graduate students. An in-depth discussion of the molecular events that regulate eucaryotic gene expression. Topics also include gene regulation during differentiation and development, aberrant transcription and disease, generation and utility of transgenic animals, and genomics-based analysis of gene expression. May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
