Students are introduced to the field of radiologic technology. The major emphasis of the course is to help students develop a sense of professionalism by focusing on such topics as the role of radiography in the health care system, ethics and medico legal responsibility, patient care, communication skills, and professional development. Students will also review common physiological, anatomical, biological, and chemical terminology. They will be introduced to pathologic, therapeutic, and analytical terms and concepts. (Prerequisite: Enrollment in Radiologic Technology Program or permission of instructor.)
