3 C.H. Previously: HS 262 Prerequisite: HSE*161. An examination of the behavioral analysis principles and strategies which provide the foundation for developing and implementing a successful and comprehensive positive behavior modification program for individuals with disabilities in a community setting. This course explores methods of treating maladaptive behaviors with strategies emphasizing positive, appropriate and effective means of communications in the target population. Topics of focus include reinforcement principles, structure, incidental teaching, functional analysis, goal setting, and others.
