4 C.H. Previously: CH 111 Code S Prerequisite: CHE* E111 and ENG* E101, both with a grade of "C" or higher. A continuation of CHE*111 with emphasis on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of inorganic and organic materials. Instrumental methods of analysis will be stressed with emphasis on pH meters, spectrophotometers, and other instruments commonly employed in the modern laboratory. Chromatographic techniques will be employed in the separation and identification of a variety of substances. 3 hours lecture and 3 hours laboratory.
