3 C.H. Previously: AR 122 Code F Prerequisite or Parallel: ENG* E101. A survey of the visual arts from fourteenth century Florence to Paris in the first half of the nineteenth century. Beginning with the innovations of Renaissance humanism, the course will follow the succession of styles that ultimately led to the eclectic revivals of neo-classic art. A field trip to a major New York museum can be expected.
