3 Credits This course will introduce the basic principles of genetics. It will cover Mendelian genetics, mitosis and meiosis, chromosomal theory, human genetics, and molecular genetics. This course will also include a discussion of DNA technology and its ethical implications. Topics, including but not limited to gene therapy, cloning, reproductive technology, and the human genome project will be discussed. Prerequisite: BIO* 121 or equivalent
