Fall, Spring. Introduction to, and exploration and application of: design elements and principles, tools, techniques, and terminology of the discipline. Introduction to design history, visual communications theory and critical thinking. Development of oral, visual, and cognitive communication/presentation and conceptualization skills. Five studio hours. Prerequisites: ART 102, ART 103, and ART 112. VCT majors: VCT 103 and VCT 104. Extra fee.
