2 credits This course focuses on the philosophy, objectives and conceptual framework of the nursing program. Students are introduced to the scope of practice of the LPN. Teachinglearning, nurse patient relationship and communication are introduced. The steps of the nursing process, growth and development and cultural values are also discussed. Case studies are used to provide background information to enhance the student's understanding of nursing. At the end of the course, the student will be able to describe and explain the scope of practice for the LPN. Legal and ethical issues and explored.
