3 credits This course identifies current issues and resulting trends which will have major impacts on the American health care delivery system through the year 2010. The student will be provided with an overview of health care forecasts, the role of demographic trends including the shift toward chronic disease care, growing health care costs, health care delivery systems, the health care workforce, medical technologies, and the ultimate effects of our health behaviors. Additionally, the student will be exposed to potential scenarios that demonstrate how the health care system in the United States may evolve. PREREQUISITES: Should be taken in last semester at Bachelor's level.
