7 credits The student will use acquired and new knowledge the implement care for clients in the childbearing phase of the life cycle. The nursing process will be used to assess analyze and develop nursing diagnoses and to plan and implement care. Actual and potential problems will be identified. Patient and family responses to care will be identified and evaluated to determine the effectiveness of nursing intervention. Critical thinking skills will be developed to determine priorities. The roles of the ADN will be further developed legal ethical research diversity and potential accountability are integral aspects of this course. PREREQUISITE: NS 201, NS 220, LA 255 New York State Child Abuse Certificate. COREQUISITE: NS-208, EN-110
